#2 Have at least 5 plants that you really love. There is no need to be passionate about every plant, but you must have at least a handful of plants that give you joy when you see them.

Great tips. I liked #1. Most things can seem overwhelming at the beginning but as you said once the small successes come then the excitement and momentum will motivate you to complete the project. Even most buildings start by laying one brick at a time until it begins to take shape so it’s great advice to use a similar principle for gardening too.
